Hike and Wilderness Survival Workshop
at Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre

Sunday october 27

Join us for an edutaining adventure to Wye Marsh, one of Ontario's most fascinating wildlife areas! Located in the heart of Midland, Wye Marsh offers a unique blend of rich wetlands and diverse ecosystems, with over 3,000 acres of marshland, forest, and open water. As we explore the boardwalk and forest trails, you'll have the chance to spot incredible wildlife, including swans, beavers, turtles, and a variety of migratory birds.

We will start our day with an interactive two-hour Wilderness Survival Program. Participants will learn the 9 essential principles of survival and then put their skills to the test in a hands-on survival scenario. You'll have the opportunity to build a shelter and start a fire using limited tools and resources, simulating a real-life survival challenge. This trip is a perfect opportunity to develop survival and backcountry skills all while surrounded by the natural beauty of Wye Marsh!

Easy - Intermediate: relatively flat trails with some ups and downs. Suitable for beginners, and hikers with a basic fitness level.
