Explore the treasure of our watersheds by snowshoe …

THIS TRIP IS CURRENTLY SOLD OUT!

Metro Vancouver manages three protected watersheds to provide 2.5 million residents with a clean, reliable and affordable supply of drinking water. These watersheds cover an area of land 150 times the size of Stanley Park and are closed to protect our water supply from human disturbance. As a result approximately 60,000 hectares of forested land provides a significant amount of space for numerous species to exist in their natural habitat. The health of these ecosystems is an important natural asset to our region.

We will be going on a snowshoe tour with a guide from Metro Vancouver who will teach us about our water supply (Snowshoes are included!) Please note that we will be going on a moderately steep trail to the Seymour watershed so please evaluate your own fitness. After taking in the beautiful views, we will warm up with a cup of hot chocolate to end our day.

Join us on this unique and informative trip guided by Metro Vancouver. This trip has limited registration!

Please note: there can be drastic changes in winter weather and this trip may be cancelled if the conditions are deemed to be too dangerous. All participants will be notified and refunded if that is the case.

WHAT TO EXPECT WITH ACTIVEDAYS

To us, facilitating this event is about creating an environment that you can engage with in your own way. This is your experience and everyone has their own relationship with the outdoors and their bodies. We want to meet you where you are at — you can take part in the group activities OR choose your own adventure.

Active Days is also a community. This is an inclusive space to meet new people, share stories and have fun! To us, there is no better place to get to know someone than the outdoors. We all share a desire to get out, explore and move.

Hope to see you there!

All ActiveDays participants are required to sign a waiver. We will bring printed copies of the waiver to sign on the bus. You can find a digital copy of a sample waiver HERE
