Get ready to explore the beauty of Presqu'ile Provincial Park! Located on the north shore of Lake Ontario, Presqu'ile Provincial Park is a nature lover's paradise, offering a range of trails that showcase the park's stunning natural beauty.
Our hike will take us through a variety of terrains, from scenic forests and wetlands to beautiful beaches and stunning lookout points. The park has trails for all skill levels, ranging from easy to moderate, with lengths ranging from 1 to 11 kilometers.
As we hike, we'll have the opportunity to observe the park's diverse flora and fauna. The park is home to over 300 bird species, making it one of the best birdwatching destinations in Ontario. At least 338 species of birds have been spotted within in the park and 130 species are known to nest here.
The highlight of the hike will be the stunning views of Lake Ontario and the park's beautiful beaches. Presqu'ile Provincial Park has over 10 kilometers of sandy beaches, perfect for a refreshing swim or a relaxing picnic on the sand. The clear waters and scenic vistas offer a perfect spot for rest and rejuvenation before continuing on with the hike.

DAY SCHEDULE
9:00 am - Pick up at 34 Asquith Ave
11:00am - Presqu'ile Provincial Park
11 - 12pm - Workshop from Ontario Park staff
12am - 3:30 pm - Group Hiking
12:00pm - 12:30 - Lunch break trailside (Lunch is not included. Please pack a lunch and water for yourself)
3:30 - 6:00 - Beach time/or continuing exploring the park on your own
6:00 pm - Depart Presqu'ile Provincial Park
WHAT TO BRING
LUNCH! and snacks. Please make sure to bring something that you can eat on the side of the trail.
Water (at least 1.5L)
Hat, Bugspray, Sunscreen
Medications
Weather appropriate clothing- Please keep an eye on the weather and be prepared for a nice warm day or a slightly chilly rainy one, or both!
Camera
Supportive hiking shoes or boots
Beach blanket, swimsuit, beach games (optional)
Whatever else you need to have fun on the trail and bus :)

To us, facilitating this event is about creating an environment that you can engage with in your own way. This is your experience and everyone has their own relationship with the outdoors and their bodies. We want to meet you where you are at — you can take part in the hike, or wander off on your own adventure
ActiveDays is also a community. This is an inclusive space to meet new people, share stories and have fun! To us, there is no better place to get to know someone than the outdoors. We all share a desire to get out, explore and move.
