Mt. Nemo Group Hike

Celebrate earth day outdoors together!

April 23, 2022

Spring Flowers, Scenic Views and Earth Day Love

We know we’re preaching to the choir when we say: “Earth day is EVERY day” BUT who doesn’t love an excuse to celebrate! This year we’ll be taking to the trails to connect to the earth at Mount Nemo Conservation Area!

Mount Nemo is a small but mighty park in the Halton Region. It’s known for its scenic look out and awesome bird watching. This time of year we’ll be catching the first bursts of green AND spring flowers! If you’re a geology nerd like us, you might like to know that there is a 450 million year old geologic history here!

We’ll cover about 5km of trail, and stop to connect to nature along the way. Happy Birthday Earth, we love you.

This is a trip not to be missed. Come out and make new friends, visit new places and see how the outdoors is closer to the city than you think.

WHAT TO EXPECT WITH ACTIVEDAYS

To us, facilitating this event is about creating an environment that you can engage with in your own way. This is your experience and everyone has their own relationship with the outdoors and their bodies. We want to meet you where you are at — you can take part in the hike, or wander off on your own adventure.

ActiveDays is also a community. This is an inclusive space to meet new people, share stories and have fun! To us, there is no better place to get to know someone than the outdoors. We all share a desire to get out, explore and move.
