Yoga in the Wild at Golden Ears
join in on yoga led by mat collective and then hike with activedays!
August 25, 2019
Mountains, Creeks, and Beaches … Oh My!
*This event is sold out!*
Nestled just an hour away from Vancouver, Golden Ears Provincial Park is one of the largest parks in our province! At over 62,000 hectares, no wonder Golden Ears houses many cherished areas for hiking, swimming, camping, canoeing, and more.
We’ll start off the day with a yoga session led by our friends from Mat Collective. We’ll soak in the fresh air while surrounded by the mountains and waters of North Beach. We’ll also spend time swimming and using SUPS, playing beach games, and enjoying a snack from our friends at MEC and Organika! Afterwards, Parkbus will lead a hike to Lower Falls where we’ll journey through hemlocks forests and get up close and personal to Gold Creek Falls. Name a better day than this!
We can’t think of a better way to spend the weekend other than discovering Golden Ears Provincial Park, one of the city’s favourite spots; a great destination to take in the beautiful nature we have to offer. Come with us and explore!
The area for yoga is a rocky surface. Please bring your own yoga mat if you wish! There will be nowhere to store your mat so please be aware that you will be carrying it on the hike if you are bringing one. We will also be spending a portion of our day at the beach so please bring a bathing suit if you’d like to go in the water or any fun activities to pass the time.

WHAT TO EXPECT WITH ACTIVEDAYS
To us, facilitating this event is about creating an environment that you can engage with in your own way. This is your experience and everyone has their own relationship with the outdoors and their bodies. We want to meet you where you are at — you can take part in the hike, or wander off on your own adventure.
ActiveDays is also a community. This is an inclusive space to meet new people, share stories and have fun! To us, there is no better place to get to know someone than the outdoors. We all share a desire to get out, explore and move.
All ActiveDays participants are required to sign a waiver. We will bring printed copies of the waiver to sign on the bus. You can find a digital copy of a sample waiver HERE
The ActiveDays program is made possible in part by the support of our partners at Mountain Equipment Coop
