Come and explore the unique beauty of Waterfalls and the escarpment forests

The Dundas Valley lies next to Hamilton — but you would never know it. This conservation area contains waterfalls, forests, meadows, rivers and unique geological formations. The Dundas Valley spreads out into Lake Ontario and is part of the Niagara Escarpment World Biosphere. There is a 450 million year old geologic history here and we will be walking through the biodiverse Carolinian Forest that can be found nowhere else in Canada. Along the way, we will encounter three breathtaking waterfalls — Tiffany, Sherman and Canterbury Falls.

One of the great things about this hike, is it allows for us to add on sections of trail to extend and shorten the hike to meet different hikers needs. The hike can be as short as 6-7kms for some and can be lengthened to 12-13km for others. We will have different groups walking at different paces.

This is a trip not to be missed. Come out and make new friends, visit new places and see how the outdoors is closer to the city than you think.

To us, facilitating this event is about creating an environment that you can engage with in your own way. This is your experience and everyone has their own relationship with the outdoors and their bodies. We want to meet you where you are at — you can take part in the hike, or wander off on your own adventure.

ActiveDays is also a community. This is an inclusive space to meet new people, share stories and have fun! To us, there is no better place to get to know someone than the outdoors. We all share a desire to get out, explore and move.
