Birdwatching with Ben

Learn the language of the birds

Saturday may 9, 2020

Come get your bird-nerd on with this experiential day of more-than just bird watching!

Maybe you’ve felt drawn to learning about birds but haven’t know quite where to start? There’s so many of them. Do I need a $500.00 pair of binoculars? Well, not to fear, we’ve got you covered in this dynamic day of birding that will take you through the basics and then some.

This day hike will focus on the birds and will expand into some of the ecological connections that the birds depend on within their habitats. Bird identification by sight and vocalization as well as an introduction to the complex world of bird language will be discussed, explored, and observed while enjoying a pleasant nature hike in the Rouge Valley. Bring your binoculars if you have them!
