Awenda Provincial Park and Winery

Come hike along the southern coast of Georgian Bay.

Join us for a scenic adventure to Awenda Provincial Park, one of Ontario's hidden gems, known for its diverse landscapes, towering forests, and stunning Georgian Bay shoreline. Enjoy a slow-paced group hike through the park’s trails, taking the leaves change. Awenda’s natural beauty is unmatched, featuring sand dunes, ancient forests, and coastal marshes that make this a perfect fall outing.

After our outdoor exploration, we’ll visit the Winery for a relaxing wine tour and tasting. You'll experience three of their signature wines and cider while learning about their winemaking process. Sip and savor while enjoying the charming countryside, making this trip the perfect combination of outdoor adventure and local flavor.

DAY SCHEDULE 

8:00am - Pick-up at 34 Asquith Ave (We can not wait for late passengers unfortunately, please make sure you are on time!)

10:00am - Arrive and Start Hiking

12:00 - 12:30pm - Lunch break trailside (Lunch is not included. Please pack a lunch and water for yourself)

12:30 - 2:00pm - continue hiking

2:00 - 3:00 - bus commute to the winery

3:00pm - 4:30 - tour, tasting and exploration of the winery

4:30pm - Depart the winery

WHAT TO BRING

LUNCH! and snacks. Please make sure to bring something that you can eat on the side of the trail

Hiking shoes or boots

Water (minimum 1.5-2L) - please note there is no water at the park

Medications

Weather appropriate clothing- As we know, falltime in Canada can be all over the place. Please keep an eye on the weather and be prepared for a nice warm day or a slightly chilly rainy one, or both!

Camera

Whatever else you need to have fun on the trail :)

WHAT TO EXPECT WITH ACTIVEDAYS

To us, facilitating this event is about creating an environment that you can engage with in your own way. This is your experience and everyone has their own relationship with the outdoors and their bodies. We want to meet you where you are at — you can take part in the hike, or wander off on your own adventure.

ActiveDays is also a community. This is an inclusive space to meet new people, share stories and have fun! To us, there is no better place to get to know someone than the outdoors. We all share a desire to get out, explore and move.

ALL ACTIVEDAYS PARTICIPANTS ARE REQUIRED TO SIGN A WAIVER. WE will send a waiver via email. YOU CAN FIND A DIGITAL COPY OF A SAMPLE WAIVER HERE

By taking part in this event you grant the event organisers full rights to use the images resulting from the photography/video filming, and any reproductions or adaptations of the images for fundraising, publicity or other purposes to help achieve the group’s aims.
