Join us to explore illuminated trails featuring sustainably sourced art installations. Get a treat or drink and gather around the bonfire with fellow hikers to observe the beauty of perfectly curated lights. Bring a book you’ve finished to swap for a ‘new to you’ read in the park cozy Book Nook cabin!

This festival offers lots of activities for everyone from cozy campfire spots to several interactive stations where you can learn more about local fauna or try making a craft.

DAY SCHEDULE 

3:00pm - Pick up at 34 Asquith (right near Yonge and Bloor) Please be at least 15 minutes early for your trip to make sure you have time to board the bus.

4:15 - 8:00 pm - Exploring Winterlit, pictures and group hiking

8:00pm - 8:30pm - Dinner by the bonfire

8:30pm- Depart for Toronto

WHAT TO BRING

Dinner/ Snacks. It is a good idea to bring a thermos with a hot drink.

Supportive footwear

Ice cleats/spikes (must have)

Water (at least 1L)

Medications

Weather-appropriate clothing- Please keep an eye on the weather and be prepared for a warm evening or a slightly chilly rainy one, or both!

WHAT TO EXPECT WITH ACTIVEDAYS

To us, facilitating this event is about creating an environment that you can engage with in your own way. This is your experience and everyone has their own relationship with the outdoors and their bodies. We want to meet you where you are at — you can take part in the hike, or wander off on your own adventure

ActiveDays is also a community. This is an inclusive space to meet new people, share stories and have fun! To us, there is no better place to get to know someone than the outdoors. We all share a desire to get out, explore and move.

All ActiveDays participants are required to sign a waiver. We will bring printed copies of the waiver to sign on the bus. You can find a digital copy of a sample waiver HERE

By taking part in this event you grant the event organisers full rights to use the images resulting from the photography/video filming, and any reproductions or adaptations of the images for fundraising, publicity or other purposes to help achieve the group’s aims.
