Hike and Sauna

Embark on the ultimate day of relaxation with this unique trip combining nature and wellness!
We begin our day with a guided hike through Heber Down Conservation Area, slowly making our way to Thermëa Spa Village, one of Ontario’s premier spa destinations.
Your ticket includes the Thermal Experience, offering access to a luxurious array of wellness amenities: thermal baths, hot baths, cold plunges, rest areas, and six unique saunas alongside two steam baths. Take part in sauna rituals, enjoy meditative sessions and rest spaces, or relax in hammocks and/or by campfire. Access to Thermal experience, robe, and locker rentals are included. A floating pool or treatments like massages or other therapeutic services are extra cost.
The spa has three different restaurants/cafes where you can grab tea or food during the day.

Please note, that this trip requires a minimum number of participants to run.
Steam rooms or saunas are not advised for pregnant women. If you have any health conditions please be sure to always consult with your doctor for personalized medical advice.

DAY SCHEDULE
9:00am - Pick up at 34 Asquith (right near Yonge and Bloor) Please be at least 15 minutes early for your trip to make sure you have time to board the bus.
10:00 - 12:00 - Arrival and Hiking to the Spa via Heber Down Conservation Area
12:00- 6:30pm - enjoy a relaxing afternoon at numerous saunas, pools, and hot tubs at the Spa Village. Grab a bite at one of the cafes, bring a book to read at zen rest areas or attend a meditation session.
6:30pm- Depart for Toronto
WHAT TO BRING
Lunch/ Snacks. This is a shorter hike but you may still wish to have something to nibble along the way. You might also grab a lunch at the restaurant at the spa.
Supportive footwear
Water bottle (at least 1L)
Ice cleats or spikes (mandatory if snowy/icy conditions)
Medications
Weather appropriate clothing- Please keep an eye on the weather and be prepared for a warm evening or a slightly chilly rainy one, or both!
Camera
Bathing Suit
Slippers (optional but handy)
Toiletries.
Bag to carry your wet items after you are finished.
WHAT TO EXPECT WITH ACTIVEDAYS
To us, facilitating this event is about creating an environment that you can engage with in your own way. This is your experience and everyone has their own relationship with the outdoors and their bodies. We want to meet you where you are at — you can take part in the hike, or wander off on your own adventure
ActiveDays is also a community. This is an inclusive space to meet new people, share stories and have fun! To us, there is no better place to get to know someone than the outdoors. We all share a desire to get out, explore and move.

Photographs and/or video may be taken at this event. By taking part in this event you grant the event organisers full rights to use the images resulting from the photography/video filming, and any reproductions or adaptations of the images for fundraising, publicity or other purposes to help achieve the group’s aims. This might include (but is not limited to), the right to use them in their printed and online publicity, social media, press releases and funding applications.
