Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre and First Light at Sainte-Marie among the Hurons
saturday december 7
ActiveDays invites you to a special adventure combining three exciting sights in one day.
Our adventure begins at Wye Marsh, a beautiful natural area home to diverse wetlands, woodlands, and incredible wildlife. Explore the serene trails, and connect with nature in this stunning outdoor sanctuary.
From there, we’ll stop in Midland, a charming town on the shores of Georgian Bay. During an hour stop you’ll be able to wander the waterfront and grab a snack before heading to the perfect evening adventure.
As night falls, we arrive at Sainte-Marie among the Hurons for their renowned First Light event. Step back in time at this recreated 17th-century historical site, illuminated by thousands of candles. Immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere with live music, and artisanal vendors offering unique crafts and treats. This award-winning event is a magical celebration of history and culture, providing a perfect way to ring in the holiday season.
Join us for this one-of-a-kind journey that blends natural beauty, community charm, and the warmth of holiday tradition!
