Kissing Bridge and St.Jacobs Market

saturday december 7

Join us for a wonderful day exploring a small section of the Guelph to Goderich (G2G) Rail Trail and St. Jacobs Market! We'll start with a hike along a beautiful section of the G2G Trail, making our way to the iconic historical Kissing Bridge – the last remaining covered bridge in Ontario. This charming landmark is a must-see, offering a unique glimpse into Ontario's past, with its romantic history and timeless beauty.

After our hike, we'll head to the famous St. Jacobs Market, a vibrant destination known for its rustic charm and bustling atmosphere. The market is one of Canada’s largest year-round farmers’ markets, where you can wander through buildings filled with local vendors, artisanal crafts, and delicious fresh produce. With everything from handmade goods to freshly baked treats, it's the perfect place to pick up unique finds or enjoy a delicious snack.

In addition to the main market building, explore the nearby antique shops, local boutiques, and the historical village of St. Jacobs. The area is rich in history, with roots in the Mennonite community and a deep connection to Ontario's farming heritage. From local produce and meats to beautiful hand-crafted items, there's something for everyone. This is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy a day full of history, nature, and shopping – a perfect blend of outdoor adventure and cultural exploration!

Easy: Flat trails, suitable for all levels.
